Events

The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Corridor has four fundraising events planned this year. Our Blue Door Bash is a night of mingling with friends and business associates while bidding on auction items. Fish-O-Rama, our longest running fundraiser, is a weekend of fishing for prizes at Robbins Lake in Cedar Rapids. Our Pedal for Progress bike ride takes place in late August. Bicyclists ride along the Cedar River Bike Trail and stop at various places along the way. Our Bags Tournament in late fall, takes place at GreenState Fieldhouse. Join us at any of these events to help raise funds for the 300+ youth we serve each day!

Blue Door Bash

Thank you to everyone who made our Blue Door Bash a success on Saturday night! With the incredible support of our sponsors, auction donors, food vendors and all of the attendees, we raised an amazing $170,000. We are beyond grateful for our wonderful community support!

We hope to see you next year on February 22, 2025 at the DoubleTree in Downtown Cedar Rapids for our 2025 Blue Door Bash!

Each year this event raises critical funding to support our Club's mission. The evening includes both live and silent auctions, cocktail hour, food tastings and a program.

22nd Annual Fish-O-Rama

Fish-O-Rama takes place at Robbins Lake in Cedar Rapids the first weekend in August. The lake is stocked with tagged catfish to make for a weekend full of prize-winning fishing! This year two lucky anglers will win $5,000 cash! Fish-O-Rama is one of our largest fundraisers of the year and all proceeds from the event stay local and help us provide a safe place for 300 kids and teens to grow into productive, caring responsible citizens.

Pedal for Progress

Pedal for Progress, the perfect fit for our Health & Wellness initiative, is a bicycle ride and raffle that takes place each summer. Enjoy a fun ride along the Cedar River Nature Trail and end the day at our Trail End Celebration with a chance to win a brand new bicycle!

Bags for Boys & Girls Clubs Tournament

The Bags for Boys & GIrls Club Tournament takes place each fall during the Hawkeye Football Season at GreenState Family Fieldhouse. It's a friendly bags toss tournament to support our Boys & Girls Club in Iowa City.
