Programs in this area aid in the development of young people’s capacity to engage in positive behaviors that nurture their well-being, set personal goals and live successfully as self-sufficient adults.
We believe that everyone should be able to cook themselves a basic healthy meal. We have volunteers who come in and show our kids how to make things like pickles or smoothies. Our Chef's Club teaches Club members to bake cookies and other simple recipes.
Living a healthy lifestyle and learning life skills is about more than just cooking the right foods. Club kids also learn financial skills, outdoor survival skills and why it's important to make positive life choices.
